
NIACC men's team shows improvement
FORT DODGE - The NIACC men's golf team shot a round of 323 on Saturday improving its team score by 14 strokes from its first round at the Iowa Central Spring Invitational.
NIACC placed ninth in the two-day invitational with a 337-323 - 660. Host Iowa Central won the invitational with a 295-293 - 588 and DMACC was second with a 296-301 - 597.
On Saturday, sophomore Bryce Malchow led the Trojans with a 79. Malchow shot 86-79 - 165.
Sophomore Kai Nelles led the Trojans for 36 holes with a 81-83 - 164.
Also for the Trojans, Tim Castle shot 85-81 - 166, Elic Fjetland shot 85-82 - 167 and Jackson Koebernick shot 89-81 - 170.
The Trojans' Ryan Berkley played as an individual and shot 83-85 - 168.
NIACC returns to action April 14-15 at the Battle of Waterloo.
