NIACC's Backhaus wins 100 hurdles
DES MOINES - NIACC's Tara Backhaus won the 100-meter hurdles Saturday at the Grand View Viking Relays.
Backhaus earned her first-place finish in a time of 17.76 seconds.
Also for the Trojans Saturday, Jordan Swenson was fourth in the high jump with a leap of 1.52 meters. Katyrra Peck was eighth in the long jump with a leap of 4.40 meters and was 10th in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:08.76.
Swenson was also ninth in the long jump (4.32 meters).
