NIACC's Backhaus, Swenson earn top 3 finishes
GRINNELL - NIACC's Tara Backhaus and Jordan Swenson both earned top three finishes Saturday at the Grinnell College Invitational.
Backhaus, a freshman from Mason City, placed third in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 10.34 seconds, which ranks sixth on NIACC's all-time 60-meter hurdles list.
Swenson, a sophomore who prepped at West Fork, placed third in the high jump with a leap of 4 feet, 10 1/2 inches.
