MARSHALL, Mo. - The NIACC women's soccer team dropped a 4-3 double overtime decision to the Missouri Valley College Junior Varsity on Saturday.
The Lady Trojans led 3-1 with five minutes to play in regulation. Missouri Valley tied the contest at 3-3 to force overtime.
NIACC (0-1) received goals from Sophia Gebl, Zjhayda Heath and Kasey Parish. The Lady Trojans collecting assists were Merle Flasskamp, Tarran Williams and Emily Jay.
The NIACC women return to action at 6 p.m. Sunday against State Fair CC in Sedalia, Mo.
The Lady Trojans kick off their home season on Saturday, Sept. 7 in a non-league game against Hawkeye CC.
