NIACC's Boerjan ties for 62nd at nationals
PLYMOUTH, Ind. - NIACC sophomore Ben Boerjan shot a 41-37 - 78 Friday during the final day of the NJCAA Division II national tournament at the Swan Lake Golf Resort on Thursday.
Boerjan, who prepped at St. Ansgar, tied for 62nd with a four-day total of 80-80-79-78 - 317.
"He played the best round of the four days (Friday)," NIACC coach Chris Frenz said, "and hit the ball really well.
"He didn't play his best this week and I know that's frustrating for him, but to make it to back-to-back national tournaments is quite an achievement and one that he should be proud of."
Last season, Boerjan tied for 43rd (75-77-78-72 - 302) at the national tournament in Foley, Ala.
