NIACC volleyball team opens home season Wednesday
Last time out: The NIACC volleyball team went 4-0 at the St. Cloud Technical and CC tournament on Aug. 26-27. The Lady Trojans picked up wins over Dakota College-Bottineau (3-0), Mesabi Range CTC (3-1), DCTC (3-0) and St. Cloud Tech and CC (3-0).
The Lady Trojans are 4-0 for the first time since the 2013 season.
Up next: The Lady Trojans host Ellsworth at 7 p.m. Wednesday in an ICCAC match. The Lady Trojans stopped Ellsworth two times in the 2015 season. NIACC beat Ellsworth 3-2 on Sept. 2 in Iowa Falls and downed the Panthers 3-0 on Oct. 19 in Mason City.

Did you know? Whittington has 457 career kills, which ranks ninth on NIACC's career list since the 1998 season. NIACC assistant coach Caitlyn Hanig, who played for the Lady Trojans in the 2013-14 seasons, ranks 8th on the career list with 461 career kills.
