NIACC volleyball team plays DMACC in regional tournament
BOONE - The NIACC volleyball team faces DMACC in the opening round of the NJCAA Region XI-A tournament on Wednesday.
Match time is set for 7 p.m.
NIACC is the fifth-seed in the regional tournament and DMACC is the fourth-seed.
DMACC stopped NIACC 3-2 in its regular season meeting in September in Boone.
The winner of the NIACC/DMACC match faces either top-seed Kirkwood or eighth-seed Southeastern in the NJCAA Region XI-A title match at noon Saturday in Creston.
Kirkwood hosts Southwestern at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Cedar Rapids.
In the NJCAA Region XI-B tournament on Wednesday, second-seed Iowa Central hosts seventh-seed Southwestern and third-seed Northeast hosts sixth-seed Iowa Lakes.
The Iowa Central/Southwestern winner faces the Northeast/Iowa Lakes winner at 2 p.m. Saturday in Creston.
The winners of the Region XI A and B tournament advance to the NJCAA Division II national tournament in Charleston, West Virginia Nov. 17-19.
