NIACC goes 0-2 at Iowa Central volleyball tournament

FORT DODGE - NIACC dropped a pair of matches at the Iowa Central tournament on Saturday.
The Lady Trojans fell to No. 8 Cowley 25-14, 23-25, 25-21, 25-15 and the Grand View University JV 25-18, 25-27, 25-19, 25-19.
"We are very proud of the work the team put in this week – probably the hardest week of the season with six matches and it ended with the very challenging tournament," NIACC coach Chris Brandt said. "We played very well against the tough Cowley team and our defense was solid. We played okay in the second match against Grand View but you could tell the team was physically tired."
Kaylee Whittington had 31 kills, 22 digs and three blocks, Aubury Coleman had 25 kills and seven blocks, Karlie Niedert had 17 kills and seven blocks, Hailey Winter had 44 assists and 16 digs, Jackie Bleifus had 24 assists, eight digs and two kills, Liv Block had 32 digs and Hannah Carr had 12 digs for the Lady Trojans.
