NIACC's Lentz places ninth at Iowa Lakes Invite
OKOBOJI - Sophomore Savannah Lentz led the NIACC women, who took fourth, with a 168 and ninth-place finish at the Iowa Lakes Invitational on Sunday at Brooks National Golf Course.
Lentz fired rounds of 86 and 82 for her 168 total.
"Savannah was one over on the front 9 but the wind kicked up a little on the back 9 and her putting let her down," NIACC coach Chris Frenz said. "Still, I think she was fairly happy with her efforts this weekend."
Lyndie Phillips shot 184 and finished in a tie for 15th, Carlie Eckenrod tied for 18th with a 189, Alyssa Purman shot 208 and finished 24th and Rebecca Long shot 209 and finished 25th.
The NIACC women return to action Oct. 4 at the Waldorf College Invitational.
