NIACC's Phillips places sixth at Waldorf Fall Invitational
FOREST CITY - NIACC freshman Lyndie Phillips placed sixth at the Waldorf College Fall Invitational with an 87 Sunday at the Bear Creek Golf Course.
NIACC sophomore Carlie Eckenrod tied for seventh with an 88.
NIACC freshman Alyssa Purman shot a 107.
"I was very pleased with their efforts," NIACC coach Chris Frenz said. "Lyndie Phillips and Carlie Eckenrod shot their best rounds of the fall and Alyssa Purman played a lot better than what her score indicates.
"These are rounds the women can improve on as we go into the winter but they should have a good feeling after (Sunday). We couldn't compete as a team (Sunday) due to some illness and both Savannah (Lentz) and Bailey (Walter) are playing other sports."
