NIACC men's DMR team places 10th at nationals
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The NIACC men's distance medley relay team placed 10th at the NJCAA national indoor track and field meet Friday in a season-best time of 10 minutes, 29.95 seconds.
The Trojans ran Zach Freund, Jose Aguilera, Rayvon Gray and John Enright. The previous best time for the Trojans' DMR this season was 10:40.12.
Also for the NIACC men on Friday, Aguilera placed 12th in the 1,000-meter run in a time of 2:35.59. Freund was 14th in the 3,000 in a personal-bet time of 8:56.91 and Jacob Day was 17th in the 5,000 (15:52.26).
Freund's previous personal best in the 3,000 was 9:00.16 on Jan. 29.
For the NIACC women Friday, Sarah Snavely was 28th in the shot put with a toss of 10.15 meters. Sola Stephenson ran 1:44.68 in the 600 prelims and did not make the finals.
