
NIACC women ranked 23rd in cross country poll
MASON CITY - The NIACC women's cross country team is ranked No. 23 in the third USTFCCA NJCAA Division I rankings released Wednesday.
The Lady Trojans are one of four ICCAC teams ranked in the top 25. Iowa Central is No. 1, Iowa Western is No. 17 and Indian Hills is ranked No. 22.
NIACC placed second at the first Trent Smith Invitational last Friday in Mason City. Freshman Julia Dunlavey led the Lady Trojans with a sixth-place finish in a personal best time of 20 minutes, 19 seconds on the 5-kilometer course.
NIACC returns to action on Oct. 29 at the NJCAA Region XI meet in Fort Dodge. The national meet is set for Nov. 11 in Fort Dodge.
