NIACC women stop Iowa Central, 76=54
FORT DODGE - The NIACC women's basketball team stopped Iowa Central 76-54 on Saturday in an ICCAC contest.
NIACC (14-11 overall, 6-4 in the ICCAC) led 28-27 at the half and outscored the Tritons 48-27 in the second half.
"We came out with some energy in the second half, pressured relentlessly on defense and made some big shots," NIACC coach Todd Ciochetto said.
Taylor Laabs sunk four 3-pointers and led NIACC with 14 points, five assists and five steals, UU Longs had 13 points, six rebounds and six steals and Cierra Stanciel added 11 points.
NIACC returns to action Wednesday at Ellsworth.
