Trojans face Lake Superior College in home opener
MASON CITY - The NIACC men's soccer team opens its home season Tuesday against Lake Superior College.
The nonconference contest is slated to start at 2 p.m. on the NIACC pitch.
NIACC opened its season with a 4-0 nonconference victory over Southeastern CC in Burlington in Leo Driscoll's debut as the men's head coach. The Trojans received goals from Lewis Saunders, Awais Abed, Jake Pitney and Kalle Kantelinen.
Recording assists for the Trojans in the season opener were Aidan de Boer, Saunders and two from Aleksander Trujic.
Matthew Janke collected nine saves in goal for the Trojans.
NIACC topped Lake Superior College 3-2 last season in Duluth, Minn.
