NIACC's Fullerton places 16th at time trial
COUNCIL BLUFFS - The NIACC men's cross country team placed second at the NJCAA Region XI time trial Saturday with 51 points.
Iowa Central was the regional time trial champion with 26 points. Iowa Western was third with 73 points.
NIACC was led by freshman Brian Jacques, who was third in the five-kilometer race in 15 minutes, 50.73 seconds. Iowa Central's Jhordan Ccope was the time trial champion in 25:36.75.
Also placing in the top 15 for the Trojans were Blake Keller (7th in 16:07.38), John Kraft (8th in 16:10.65) and Samuel Dean (14th in 16:35.21). The Trojans' fifth counting score was Jacob Hansen, who was 19th in 16:43.70.
The NIACC women placed fourth with 91 points. Iowa Central won the meet with 16 points.
NIACC was led by Amy Fullerton, who was 16th in a time of 22:09.51. Iowa Central's Adva Cohen was the time trial champion in 18:41.09.
Also for the NIACC women, Julia Dunlavey was 18th in 22:27.22, Rebekah Larson was 24th in 23:15.14, Ally Trager was 29th in 23:42.03, Allison Steahr was 31st in 24:39.31 and Tiffany Meyer was 34th in 27:10.18.
