NIACC women place 29th at nationals
FORT DODGE - NIACC's Julia Dunlavey placed 123rd in a time of 20 minutes, 28 seconds in the women's 5-kilometer race at the NJCAA Division I national cross country meet Saturday at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course.
NIACC placed 29th in the team standings with 788 points. Iowa Central was the team champion with 52 points and Central Arizona was second with 135 points.
Iowa Central's Adva Cohen was the individual champion in 17:24 and Garden City CC's Sandra Szpott was second (17:43).
Other counting scores for the NIACC women were sophomore Amy Fullerton was 163rd in a season-best time of 20:56, sophomore Keisha Gonzague was 190th (21:30), freshman Rebekah Larson was 203rd in career-best 21:46 and freshman Ally Trager was 209th in a personal-best 21:51.
Also for the Lady Trojans, freshman Tiffany Meyer was 211th in a career-best 21:53 and sophomore Allison Steahr was 257th in 22:57.
