NIACC women place 25th at Augustana Twilight
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The NIACC women's cross country team placed 25th at the Augustana College Twilight Invitational on Friday night with 729 points.
South Dakota won the team title with 24 points and Creighton was second with 55 points. Iowa Western was 16th with 531 points and Waldorf University was 29th with 815 points.
Freshman Julia Dunlavey led the Lady Trojans with a 165th place finish in a personal-best 20 minutes, 56 seconds on the 5-kilometer course. The 20:56 by Dunlavey ranks 21st on the NIACC women's all-time 5K list.
Dunlavey's previous personal 5K best was a 22:27 at the NJCAA Region XI time trial on Aug. 26 in Council Bluffs.
Also for the Lady Trojans on Friday, Amy Fullerton was 172nd (21:02), Ally Trager was 232nd (22:07), Rebekah Larson was 238th (22:13), Allison Steahr was 265th (23:23), Tiffany Meyer was 271st (23:27) and Anna Frisch was 295th (26:28).
Creighton's Emily Martin was the indiviudual champion in 17:21.
The NIACC women return to action Sept. 15 at the Grand View Viking Invitational in Des Moines.
