NIACC's Anderly places 5th
COUNCIL BLUFFS - NIACC's Austin Anderly stopped Iowa Central's DeAndre Reed 3-2 to claim fifth place at 141 pounds Saturday afternoon at the NJCAA national wrestling tournamenet at the Mid-America Center.
Iowa Central challenged a late takedown attempt by Reed as time expired in the third period but the call stood and Anderly (14-7) won his final match of the season.
NIACC's Brennen Doebel (13-5) was pinned by Harper's Ian Mullen in his fifth-place match at 125 pounds.
NIACC's Tucker Black (20-10) stopped Labette's Skyler Bloomer 11-2 in the seventh-place match at 165 pounds.
At 133 pounds, NIACC's Jamarius Jackson (12-6) placed eighth as he took a medical forfeit in the seventh-place match.
