NIACC men run at Les Duke Invite Saturday
GRINNELL - The NIACC men's cross country team returns to action Saturday at the Grinnell College Les Duke Invitational.
The men's 8-kilometer race is set to start at 10:45 a.m. at the Grinnell Country Club.
This will be the first 8K race of the season for the NIACC men. The Trojans placed second at the NJCAA Region XI time trial on Aug. 26 in a 5K race and they were 12th out of 26 teams at the Augustana College Twilight Invitational on Sept. 1 in a four-mile race.
At the Augustana meet, freshman Brian Jacques led the Trojans with a 35th-place finish in 20 minutes, 25 seconds. Sophomore Blake Keller ws 57th in 20:45 and freshman Jacob Hansen was 99th in 21:20.
The NIACC men placed fifth at the Les Duke Invitational last season as Wal Khat won the race in 26 minutes, 55 seconds.
