
NIACC women's wrestling team ranked 7th in latest poll
MASON CITY - The NIACC women's wrestling team is ranked seventh in the latest NJCAA poll.
Defending national champion Indian Hills is ranked first, Iowa Western is ranked fourth and Iowa Central is ranked fifth.
NIACC, which is in its first year of women's wrestling, will send nine wrestlers to the NJCAA Women's Wrestling Invitational March 3-4 at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs.
NIACC's Chiara Barbieri is ranked fifth at 101 pounds, Tatiana Hernandez is ranked second at 109 pounds, Laken Lienhard is ranked first at 143 pounds, Ravyn Krachey is ranked eighth at 170 pounds and Valerie Smith is ranked fourth at 235 pounds.
