BOONE - The NIACC softball team dropped a pair of ICCAC contests to No. 10 DMACC Sunday.
DMACC won the first game 4-1 and took the second game 10-2 in six innings.
NIACC freshman Bri Notermann hit solo home runs in both games for her first two collegiate home runs.
In the first game, DMACC (14-9 overall, 4-2 in ICCAC) plated its four runs in the third inning. The Bears received a 3-run home run from Kaylie Reynolds.
DMACC's Ellie Jacobson tossed a three-hitter with five strikeouts and one walk.
NIACC (5-5, 3-5) scored its lone run in the seventh inning with Notermann's solo homer.
NIACC's Anna Lensing was 2 for 3, including a double. NIACC's Laken Lienhard struck out seven and walked two allowing four runs on three hits in five innings of work
In the second game, DMACC scored four runs in the fifth inning and pushed across five runs in the sixth inning.
The Lady Trojans received solo home runs from Notermann and Hailey Worman.
NIACC and DMACC wrap up their four-game series with a doubleheader on Monday. The first game is slated to start at 2 p.m.
