NIACC's Trent Smith Invitational set for today
The sixth annual Trent Smith Invitational is set for 5 p.m. today on the NIACC campus.
The women's 5-kilometer race starts at 5 p.m. with the men's 8K race starting at 5:45 p.m.
Trent Smith was a former cross country/track & field standout at North Iowa Area Community College from 2011-2013. Trent was NIACC's first male cross country All-American, and he still holds the indoor 3,000 meter record. While at NIACC, Trent worked as a student ambassador in the Admissions Department. Trent was tragically killed in the fall of 2016 in a car accident. Trent Smith left his mark and definitely will be missed by his NIACC family.
