NIACC men place 11th at NJCAA half-marathon
HENRICO, Va. - The NIACC men placed 11th at the NJCAA Division I half-marathon Tuesday at Dorey Park with 124 points.
Iowa Central was the national champion with 21 points. Northwest Kansas was second with 22 points and Trinidad State was third with 26 points.
NIACC was led by sophomore Melvin Kipkemboi, who was 27th in a time of 1 hour, 12 minutes, 7 seconds. Iowa Central's Aspel Kiprob was the individual national champion in a time of 1:04.03.
Also for NIACC in the half-marathon, Peyton Seiler placed 48th (1:16.46), Christian Rodriguez was 60th (1:18.41), Richard Marcoux was 73rd (1:21.43) and Maxwell Deeter was 107th (1:35.40).
