1989 (Coach: Dick Ramsey)
The NIACC football team completed its third straight winning season by going 7-3 and finishing the season with a 3-game winning streak.
Honorable mention all-region selection Tank Corner led the NIACC offensive attack by rushing for 1,105 yards and scoring 21 touchdowns.
Earning first-team all-region honors for the Trojans were quarterback Mike Schlichting, receiver Marlon Goolsby and defensive back Jim Micho.
Honorable mention all-region selections along with Corner for NIACC were offensive lineman Tim Stovie, wide receiver Robert Hughes, defensive lineman Chris Tallman, linebacker Frank Phee and defensive lineman Mike Hemann.
Schlichting completed 111 of 208 passes for 1,429 yards with 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Goolsby caught 23 passes for 382 yards and four touchdowns.

The NIACC football team posted its best season since 1977 by going 7-3 in the 1988 season.
The Trojans were 2-2 in the Iowa Junior College Conference with league wins over Waldorf College (12-10) and Iowa Lakes (50-35).
Earning all-region honors for the Trojans were Dave Davis (running back), Stacey Morgan (receiver), Aaron Harper (offensive line) and Milo Miller (linebacker).
Earning honorable mention all-region honors for the Trojans were Tony Cordle (offensive line), Marvin Goolsby (receiver), Frank Phee (running back), Mike Schlichting (quarterback), Jim Langerman (linebacker), Keith Smith (defensive back), Tony Spicer (linebacker), Bruce Burns (offensive line).
Davis led the league in rushing with 1,135 yards. He gained a season-high 232 yards in the Trojans' 27-20 win over the Westmar College junior varsity in week two.

The NIACC football team posted its first winning season since 1977 by going 5-4 in Dick Ramsey's second year as coach of the Trojans.
NIACC, which was 0-8-1 in Ramsey's initial season in 1986, gained wins over HIghland CC, Austin CC, Iowa Central, North Hennepin CC and Iowa Lakes.
The 23-19 win over Iowa Central was the Trojans' first over the Tritons since the 1981 season.
Earning all-region honors for the Trojans were Orville Townsend (receiver), Ali Greene (defensive back) and Charles Haire (defensive line). Honorable mention all-region selections were Jeff Nehl (defensive back), Milo Miller (linebacker), Shawn Shepherd (running back/linebacker), Ray Monk (offensive line), Vern Little (running back), Bruce Burns (offensive line), Stacey Morgan (receiver/defensive back) and Shannon White (receiver).

The highlight of the 1985 season was a 29-27 victory over No. 1 Ellsworth on Oct. 5 in Iowa Falls. Deckram Croker returned an interception 50 yards for a touchdown with 3:17 to play in the fourth quarter to give the Trojans the stunning victory.
Ellsworth had beat NIACC 29-0 in the season opener.
It was the second time in the last decade that the Trojans upset top-ranked Ellsworth. The Trojans knocked off the No. 1 Panthers in the 1977 season.
NIACC (3-7) also claimed wins over the Northwest Missouri State Junior Varsity (27-6) and Willmar College (24-20).
Earning all-NJCAA Region XI honors for the Trojans were Craig Petigout (offensive line) and Croker (defensive back). Earning honorable mention all-region honors were Jim Weber, Glover Frogmore, Dave Mulder, Earl Williams, Anthony Crawford, Tom Hemann, Mark Paca, Tim Simpson, Chris Yarrow and Tracy Tafolla.
William Robinson led the Trojans with 489 yards rushing. Robinson also caught five passes for 82 yards.
Quarterback Dave Mulder completed 29 of 132 passes for 337 yards.
Croker led the Trojan defense with 47 tackles. Simpson was next in line with 38 tackles.

The Trojans were 1-9 in the 1984 season as they topped Willmar College 17-8 in Week 10 to snap a 14-game losing streak.
Quarterback Scott Lechnir caught 26 pass for 491 yards and four touchdowns. Israel Warren rushed for 298 yards to lead the NIACC offense.
Jeff Kleven led the NIACC defense with 91 tackles.

The Trojans also topped the Mankato State Junior Varsity and Iowa Lakes in the 1981 season.
Earning all-region honors for the Trojans were Ted Fountas (linebacker), Brett Klatt (receiver), Doug Ockenfels (offensive line) and Jim McDougle (punter).
R.C. Smoot led the Trojans in rushing with 505 yards. Quarterback Scott Lynch completed 38 of 82 passes for 491 yards and Klatt caught 18 passes for 423 yards.
On defense, Fountas led the way with 101 tackles and Sydney Brisbane collected five interceptions.
