Two school records fall at Grand View Classic
DES MOINES - On Friday morning, the NIACC men's 4x100-meter relay team of Timothi McMaster, Prince Boduo, Kalen Eastman and Deionte Ganzy ran a 42.47 in the prelims in the collegie division at the Drake Relays.
On Friday afternoon at the Grand View Classic, the same foursome won the 4x100 in a school record time of 42.18 breaking their own school mark of 42.36.
Ganzy also won the 200-meter dash in a school record time of 21.73 breaking the mark of 21.94 by Dominique Pressley in 2006.
Also in the 200, Kyle Younker was fourth (22.35) and Eastman was sixth (22.74).
NIACC's David Carter won the 800 in a time of 2:01.72 and teammate Daniel Hennigar was second (2:02.94). Abdiaziz Wako was fourth in 2:03.96.
In the 1,500, Samuel Dean was second in a time of 4:32.51. Tyler Crawford was third (4:34.74) and Canyon Kuhlmann was fourth (4:54.97).
In the 3,000 steeplechase, Grant Dieken was third (11:00.42).
In the 110 hurdles, Brody Goos was fourth (15.26).
In the 100, Younker was sixth in 11.18.
