NIACC's 4x100 relay team sets school record
DUBUQUE - The NIACC men's 4x100-meter relay team of Prince Boduo, Timothi McMaster, Kalen Eastman and Deionte Ganzy set a school record at the Loras College Easter Mid-Week meet on Wednesday.
The foursome placed second in 42.75 seconds breaking the old school mark of 43.17 set by Will Hanson, Deon Polk, Jacques Edwards and Paul Pokana in 2014.
Simpson won the 4x100 in 42.14.
NIACC, which placed third with 79 points, also received a first-place finish from Ganzy in the 200-meter dash (22.36) and a second-place finish from Ganzy in the 100 (10.96).
Host Loras was the team champion with 268 points and Simpson College was second with 184 points.
Also for the Trojans, Alec Hayes and Jacob Henjum both cleared 6 feet, 3/4 inches. Hayes placed second on fewer misses and Henjum was third.
In the 100, Eastman was fourth in 11.52.
In the 200, NIACC's Kyle Younker was fourth in 23:10 and Boduo was fifth in 23.12.
In the 400, Boduo was fourth (51.86), Younker was fifth (52.27) and Ethan Klasi was sixth (52.47).
The Trojans' Younker, Klasi, Scott Hengesteg and Boduo were fourth in the 4x400-meter relay (3:31.85).
NIACC returns to action April 7 at the Cornell College Invitational in Mount Vernon.
