ENID, Okla. - The NIACC baseball team split a pair of games on Sunday at the David Allen Memorial Ballpark.
NIACC topped NOC-Enid 11-5 and dropped a 4-3 decision to Parkland College.
In the win over NOC-Enid, the Trojans jumped out to a 7-0 lead after three innings by scoring four runs in the first inning and plating three more in the third frame.
NIACC sophomore Ben Fitzgerald was 2 for 4. including a home run, and five RBIs.
Evan Reifert gained the win for the Trojans against NOC-Enid. He struck out 10 and walked six in three innings of work. He did not allow a hit and gave up three runs - one earned.
Against Parkland College, the Cobras won the game with a single run in the bottom half of the seventh inning.
Michael Oh started and pitched the first six innings allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits with two strikeouts and one walk. Jake Hausmann relieved Oh in the seventh inning and took the loss.
Liam Taylor drove in two runs for the Trojans and Fitzgerald recorded a triple and scored a run.
NIACC (5-5 overall) returns to action Monday at NOC-Tonkawa. The two teams will play one nine-inning game starting at 1 p.m.
