Iowa/Nebraska Challenge set for weekend

MASON CITY - The Iowa/Nebraska basketball challenge is set for Friday and Saturday in the NIACC gym.

A total of eight games will be played in the two-day event featuring NIACC and Iowa Lakes from Iowa and Central CC-Columbus and Southeast CC from Nebraska.

On Friday, the No. 11 NIACC women's basketball team (5-1) plays Central CC-Columbus (1-7) at 6 p.m. and the NIACC men's team (6-1) plays Central CC-Columbus (4-3) at 8 p.m.

On Saturday, the NIACC women host Southeast CC (4-3) at 3 p.m. and the Trojan men play Southeast CC (2-6) at 5 p.m.

The Iowa Lakes men's team comes into the weekend with a record of 4-2 and the Iowa Lakes women are 2-5.

2 p.m. - Iowa Lakes vs. Southeast CC (women)

4 p.m. - Iowa Lakes vs. Southeast CC (men)

6 p.m. - NIACC vs. Central CC-Columbus (women)

8 p.m. - NIACC vs. Central CC-Columbus (men)

Saturday's games

11 a.m. - Iowa Lakes vs. Central CC-Columbus (women)

1 p.m. - Iowa Lakes vs. Central CC-Columbus (men)

3 p.m. - NIACC vs. Southeast CC (women)

5 p.m. - NIACC vs. Southeast CC (men)
