No. 2 NIACC stops No. 6 Iowa Central on mat, 27-9
FORT DODGE - The No. 2 NIACC wrestling team topped No. 6 Iowa Central 27-9 in an ICCAC dual on Wednesday.
NIACC won eight of the 10 matches.
At 141 pounds, NIACC's third-ranked Hunter Luke (3-0) topped Bobby Tellez, 10-8. Tellez is ranked fifth at 133 pounds.
At 157 pounds, NIACC's Kendall Sandifer (6-3) stopped the Tritons' fifth-ranked Andrew Gamble, 4-1.
At 174 pounds, NIACC's Christian Minto, who is rankeed fourth at 165 pounds, knocked off Iowa Central's top ranked 174-pounder Ashton Eyler, 7-6. Minto improved his record to 7-0.
NIACC returns to action Saturday at the University of Dubuque Invitational.
