NIACC falls to NOC-Enid, 13-12
ENID, Okla. - The NIACC baseball team dropped a 13-12 decision in 10 innings to NOC-Enid on Tuesday.
NIACC (6-7) pounded out 14 hits to score its 12 runs.
The Trojans took an 11-5 lead by scoring five runs in their half of the ninth inning. NOC-Enid, however, tied the contest with six runs in its half of the ninth.
NIACC retook the lead with a single run in the top of the 10th but the Jets won the contest with two runs in the bottom of the 10th frame.
NIACC received two hits and three RBIs from Ayrton Laird. Leadoff hitter Declan Beers was 2 for 2, including a home run, with two RBIs.
Also for the Trojans, designated hitter Cayden Nicoletto was 3 for 6 with an RBI, Dawson Wedeking was 2 for 4 with two RBIs and John Solfest was 2 for 3.
NIACC returns to action Wednesday with a doubleheader at Northwest Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Okla. The first game is slated to start at 1 p.m.
