Brad Vaught recently completed his fifth season as the NIACC women's head basketball coach with the conclusion of the 2024-25 season.

Vaught has a career record at NIACC of 93-52, including a mark of 89-36 the last four seasons. The Trojans were 25-7 in the 2024-25 season, which is the highest win total in the Vaught era.

The Trojans won the 2025 NJCAA Region 11-B championship with a victory over Ellsworth in the title game. The Trojans fell to North Platte CC in the NJCAA North Central District A championship game.

In the 2024-25 season, NIACC had four players earn ICCAC all-region honors. First-team all-region selections were Tori Miller and Reggi Spotts. Also earning all-region honors were Keeley Steele (second team) and Kelsey McDonough (third team).

Miller was selected as the MVP of the NJCAA Region 11-B tournament. Steele and Spotts were named to the NJCAA Region 11-B all-tournament team.

The NIACC women's basketball team had 12 players earn ICCAC academic all-region honors for the 2024 fall semester.

In the 2023-24 season, the Trojans advanced to the NJCAA Region 11-B title game before bowing out to NJCAA Division II national qualifier Iowa Western.
 
In the 2023-24 season, NIACC had four players earn ICCAC all-region honors. First-team all-region selection Madison Hillman was selected as the ICCAC defensive player of the year. Also earning all-region honors were Miller (first-team), Keiara Anderson (second-team) and Alexis Schroeder (third-team).
 
Anderson and Schroeder were selected to the NJCAA Region 11-B all-tournament team.
 
The NIACC women's basketball team had nine players earn ICCAC academic all-region honors for the 2023 fall semester. 

Vaught, who was an assistant boys basketball coach at Stewartville High School in Minnesota, is the seventh women's basketball coach in school history.

NIACC was 19-12 in Vaught's third season at the helm in 2022-23. The Trojans earned the fourth seed for the regional tournament with a record of 9-7 and advanced to the regional tournament semifinals.

NIACC's Audrey Martinez-Stewart was selected as the ICCAC defensive player of the year and was also a first-team all-region selection. The Trojans' Kourtney Manning and Jackie Pippett were second-team all-region picks and Kameron Jones was a third-team all-region selection.

NIACC was 22-9 in Vaught's second season in 2021-22.

NIACC's Alyssa Hames was a second-team all-region pick in 2021-22 and Martinez-Stewart was a third-team all-region pick.

In Vaught's first season as coach of the Trojans (2021), 12 players earned all-NJCAA Region 11 academic honors. The Trojans were also honored as an NJCAA women's basketball academic team of the year. 

Also in the 2021 season, Manning was a first-team all-NJCAA Region 11 selection and Abby Leach was a second-team all-region pick.

Before coaching at Stewartville, Vaught was an assistant boys basketball coach at John Marshall High School in Rochester, Minn., from 2017-19.

He also served as an assistant boys basketball coach at Rochester Mayo High School from 2011-16.

Vaught was the head men's basketball coach at Crossroads College from 2007-10. He also was an assistant men's basketball coach at RCTC in the 2006-07 season.

Vaught also coached at the Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx basketball academy from 2014-18 and for the past three years has coached at the Karl-Anthony Towns basketball camp. Vaught was selected as the coach of the camp in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

In April of 2014, Vaught earned his Masters Degree (M.S.S) majoring in sport management from the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Ala.
