Cecelia Hemsworth begins her second season as an assistant coach for the NIACC men's and women's cross country teams in the 2023 season.

Hemsworth graduated from NIACC in 2020 and graduated from Waldorf University in 2023.

Hemsworth, who is from Mount Pleasant, was a two-time all-region performer in cross country at NIACC. She earned honorable mention NJCAA Region XI honors in 2018 with a 20th place finish at the regional meet. She also earned honorable mention all-region honors in 2019 with a 20th place finish at the regional meet.

Hemsworth earned USTFCCCA all-American honors at the 2019 NJCAA outdoor national meet running a leg on the Trojans' 4x800-meter relay team that placed eighth in a time of 10 minutes, 2.88 seconds. Other members of the all-American relay team were Ally Trager, Emma Davison and Ivy Rollene.

Hemsworth also ran a leg on NIACC's distance medley relay team that placed ninth at the 2019 NJCAA national indoor meet in a time of 13:07.47.
