Bio

Jeremy Winters begins his second season as NIACC's head men's basketball coach in the 2023-24 season.

NIACC was 12-19 overall and 4-12 in the ICCAC in Winters' first season as head coach. NIACC's Myles Tucker earned first-team all-region honors in the 2022-23 season and finished his career with 1,028 points, which ranks 10th on the school's career scoring list. Winter was an assistant coach under Mark Mohl for 11 seasons.

As an assistant coach, Winters was involved in all areas of coaching for the Trojans. He was active in recruiting, practice implementation, game planning, fundraising, and scouting, as well as being in charge of post player development and strength and conditioning. Winters graduated in December 2016 with his Master's Degree in Higher Education from Iowa State University. Winters graduated from Waldorf College with a Bachelor's Degree in Wellness in 2011 with an emphasis in strength and conditioning.

Winters began his college career at Iowa Lakes Community College where he received 1st team Academic All-Region Honors. He completed his collegiate career at Waldorf in the 2009-2010 season and received All-Conference Honorable Mention.

In the 2010-11 season, he was a student assistant at Waldorf College for both the varsity and junior varsity programs.

Winters lives in Mason City with his wife Emily. Winters works as the Director of Housing and also serves as the Director of the Iowa Frost Basketball Academy.
