Sandy Schupanitz begins her 10th season as NIACC's head cheerleading coach in the 2023-24 season.

Schupanitz, who is from Mason City, graduated from NIACC in 1988.

Schupanitz says she "takes pride in the fact that our team is involved in community service activities as well as being mentors to younger students in our community." 

Her first year as cheerleading coach at NIACC was in 2013. She began the wrestling cheerleading team in 2017.

Schupanitz also spent two years as a volunteer cheerleading coach at Mason City High School.

Schupanitz has also helped judge tryouts and critic routines for surrounding area high school teams.

Schupanitz has worked at Claire's for 33 years.
