Bio

James Lamgo is in his second year as the assistant athletic trainer at NIACC in the 2023-24 school year.

Lamgo works for Athletico Physical therapy and is contracted out to NIACC as a full time assistant.  In addition to his service to NIACC, he also provides athletic training services for local area high schools.

Lamgo graduated from Central College, a Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) approved program, in 2021 with a BA in Athletic Training. Shortly after, he became certified to practice as a credentialed athletic trainer through the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC) and was licensed in the state of Iowa through the Iowa Board of Athletic Training and the Iowa Department of Public Health.

While in college, Lamgo competed in football.

While interning with Kinetic Edge Physical Therapy in the spring of 2020, Lamgo observed and performed rehabilitative techniques on patients.

During his time as an athletic training student, Lamgo worked with the football, men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, track and field, and baseball programs, all at the NCAA Division III level.

Lamgo is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), Mid-American Athletic Trainers Association (MAATA), and the Iowa Athletic Trainers Association (IATS).

Lamgo resides in Mason City. He enjoys working out and participating in outdoor activities.
