With 72.5 points, they dominated the competition, leaving North Idaho far behind at 44.5 points.

Individual successes highlighted their talent, with Bob Fouts claiming the heavyweight title and Dedric Doolin, Ed Herman, Joe Corso and Bruce Wilson earning all-American honors.

Their collective skill, determination, and dedication solidified their place in collegiate wrestling history, showcasing the Trojans’ enduring legacy.

Team members were Mike Anderson, Tom Burns, Joe Corso, Dedric Doolin, Steve Eidness, Bob Fouts, Ed Herman, Stuart Newman, Dan Peterson, Bob Pratt, Bill Williams, Bruce Wilson, Ralph Young and Dave Zidlicky.
