NIACC's Moore earns ICCAC honor
MASON CITY – NIACC sophomore Kyla Moore was selected as the ICCAC Division II volleyball player of the week for the week of Oct. 3-9.
Moore, a 6-foot-1 inch, middle blocker from Centerville, recorded 78 kills and 35 blocks as the Trojans went 3-2 with wins over Southwestern, the Grand View University Junior Varsity and Ellsworth.
Moore recorded 19 kills and 10 blocks in a 3-2 loss to Iowa Lakes.
Moore has reached double figures in kills in seven straight matches. Moore has 490 career kills, which ranks 13th on the school's all-time career kills list.
She ranks third in the ICCAC with 111 blocks.
NIACC returns to action Wednesday at home against Hawkeye CC. The ICCAC match begins at 7 p.m.
