Trojans ready compete at nationals
MONROE, La. - NIACC's Taja Conley and Lilly Radcliffe will compete in the 400-meter hurdles on Thursday at the NJCAA Division I Championships at Brown Stadium on the University of Louisiana Monroe campus.
The 400-meter hurdles prelims are set for 6 p.m. Thursday.
The Trojans will also compete in the 4x400-meter relay. The prelims are set for 5:10 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will run Tenisha Herbert, Emily Usher, Radcliffe and Conley.
The Trojans' best time in the 4x400 this season is 4:26.27 at the Wartburg College Outdoor Select meet on April 5.
Conley, a freshman from Paullina, enters the national meet with a personal best time of 1 minute, 8.85 seconds at the Jim Duncan Invitational on April 12. The 1:08.85 ranks fifth on the school's all-time list.
Radcliffe, a freshman from Melrose, Wis., has a personal best time of 1:09.37, which she clocked at the NJCAA Region 11 championships and ranks sixth on the school's all-time list.
Radcliffe placed fifth at the regional meet with her 1:09.37. Conley was eighth at the regional meet in a time of 1:13.99.
