NIACC's Herbert, Conley earn 3rd-pace finishes at Jack Jennett Invite
CEDAR FALLS - The NIACC women's track and field team picked up two third-place finishes Friday at the University of Northern Iowa's Jack Jennett Invitational inside the UNI-Dome.
NIACC freshman Tenisha Herbert placed third in the 200-meter dash in a time of 27.12 seconds. The 27.12 ranks fourth on NIACC's all-time indoor 200 list.
Herbert, who is from Tortola, British Virgin Islands, placed ninth in the 60-meter dash in a time of 8.10 seconds, which is tied for second on the school's all-time 60-meter dash list.
Herbert's 8.10 in the 60 is tied with Dashawn Wyatt, who also ran a 8.10 at Minnesota State's Chuck Peterson Open on Dec. 8, 2018.
NIACC freshman Taja Conley placed third in the 600-meter dash in a time of 1:52.17.
Also for the Trojans, freshman Maddy Welbes was fourth in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 10.19, which ranks sixth on NIACC's all-time 60-meter hurdles list.
The Trojans' 4x400-meter relay team of Conley, Herbert, Cloey Usher and Emily Usher placed third in a time of 4:36.35.
