NIACC falls to No. 13 Bryant & Stratton, 64-61
EAST PEORIA, Ill. - The NIACC women's basketball team dropped a 64-61 decision to No. 13 Bryant & Stratton on Thursday in the consolation round at the 41st annual Illinois Central Holiday Tournament.
NIACC (9-4 overall) plays South Suburban College (10-6) at 10 a.m. Friday in the seventh-place game. Black Hawk College-Moline topped South Suburban 62-51 in its consolation game on Thursday.
NIACC last played South Suburban in the 2016 Illinois Central Holiday Tournament and came out with a 65-54 victory.
In Thursday's game, Bryant & Stratton led 35-29 at the half and held a 50-47 lead after three quarters.
Sophomore Kourtney Manning led NIACC with 13 points, five rebounds and two steals. Sophomore Audrey Martinez-Stewart scored 11 points with eight assists, seven rebounds and four steals.
Also for NIACC, Nariyah Parks scored eight points, including two 3-point goals.
Mondrea Williams led Bryant & Stratton with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
