NIACC's Canton places 51st in national half marathon
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - NIACC freshman Bryson Canton placed 51st in the NJCAA Division I national half marathon on Tuesday.
Canton covered the 13.1 mile course in a time of 1 hour, 18 minutes, 4 seconds. Iowa Central's Aspel Kiprob was the individual national champion in a time of 1:07.12.
El Paso CC was the team national champion with 18 points and Iowa Central was third with 27 points. NIACC placed 18th with 193 points.
Also for NIACC on Tuesday, Breyden Christensen was 97th (1:23.42), Vlad Starrett was 99th (1:24.05), Jackson Chambers was 110th (1:27.21), Kason Judisch was 117th (1:30.52) and Jacob Vais was 121st (1:32.24).
