Juan Mackrey begins his first season as an assistant coach with the NIACC men's soccer program in the 2022 season.

Mackrey was a soccer operations intern at Northwestern College in 2021-22 performing administrative, recruiting and coaching duties.

Mackrey played collegiate soccer at Georgia Military College and Northwestern College.

At Georgia Military, Mackrey played 35 games, scoring 23 goals with seven assists.

At Northwestern, Mackrey played 44 games, scored 20 goals with five assists. He was a GPAC all-conference selection in 2021. He graduated in 2022 with a bachelor of arts degree in exercise science and a bachelor of arts degree in Economics.
