NIACC stops Graceland University JV, 92-87
LAMONI - The NIACC men's basketball team stopped the Graceland University Junior Varsity 92-87 Friday night in a non-conference contest.
NIACC was led by Myles Tucker with 26 points and Chett Helming with 20 points. Koen Derry was also in double figures for the Trojans with 17 points.
Tucker, who scored 16 of his 26 points in the first half, connected on six three-point goals to push his career total of 3-point goals to 120, which ranks seventh on the school's career 3-point list.
It is the fourth time this season that Tucker, who has 65 3-point goals this season, has connected on at least six three-point goals in a game. He has made seven in a game twice this season and also drained six three-pointers in a game twice this season.
Also for the Trojans, Tre'Von Shedrick and Kenny Quinn both scored nine points.
NIACC (9-13 overall) returns to action Saturday at Southwestern in an ICCAC contest in Creston. Game time is slated for 1 p.m.
