NIACC falls to Hawkeye CC, 3-0
WATERLOO - The NIACC volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Hawkeye CC on Wednesday night in an ICCAC contest.
Hawkeye CC won 25-21, 26-24, 25-16.
"We started playing pretty well (Wednesday)," NIACC coach Chris Brandt said, "and just wasn't able to finish strong.
"Defensively, we read the ball well and adjusted as needed but we just needed to make better options offensively."
NIACC was led by sophomore Hannah Wagner with 12 kills and 20 digs. Freshman Kennedy Meister had 10 kills, 11 digs and three assists.
Also for the Lady Trojans, Sydney Roush had 13 assists, Ashley Groe had 13 assists and four digs, Connor Gauch had 18 digs, Braylee Wood had four kills and two blocks and Jamie Brenner had two kolls and two blocks.
