NIACC falls to RCTC, 3-1
ROCHESTER, Minn. - The NIACC volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to RCTC on Saturday in a nonconference match.
RCTC won 25-18, 15-25, 25-21, 25-22.
"We started playing very well and defensively our blocks were very solid (Saturday)," NIACC coach Chris Brandt said. "RCTC changed its game plan to off-speed and we just couldn't adjust fast enough.
"We get a much needed day off and back to work on Monday."
NIACC was led by sophomore Hannah Wagner with 21 kills and 25 digs. Also for the Lady Trojans, Kennedy Meister had 10 kills, 15 digs, four blocks and two ace serves.
NIACC's Sydney Roush had 20 assists, three ace serves and five digs. Sarah Kimberly had eight kills and four blocks, Connor Gauch had 14 digs, Ashley Groe had 17 assists and five digs, Braylee Wood had seven blocks and Jordana Foote and Tessa Sienknecht both had four blocks.
NIACC returns to action Wednesday in an ICCAC match at Northeast CC. Match time is slated for 7 p.m.
