NIACC sweeps Ellsworth, 3-0
MASON CITY - The NIACC volleyball team picked up a 3-0 ICCAC decision over Ellsworth Wednesday night in the NIACC gym.
NIACC won 25-6, 25-22, 25-15.
"It's always good to play at home, but even better with a great crowd and a conference win," NIACC coach Chris Brandt said. "We were able to work on some offensive plays even when we were out of system. We still need to work on our communication as well as controlling our errors."
NIACC was led by sophomore Hannah Wagner with 17 kills, four digs and two blocks. Kennedy Meister had six kills and 17 digs.
Also for the Lady Trojans, Connor Gauch had 13 digs, Ashley Groe had 13 assists and three digs, Sydney Roush had 17 assists, Sarah Kimberly had five kills, four digs and three blocks, Jordana Foote had five kills and Braylee Wood had three kills.
NIACC (14-7 overall, 2-3 in the ICCAC) returns to action Friday against the Valley City State Junior Varsity in a 4 p.m. match in Forest City.
