NIACC men stop DCTC, 2-1

MASON CITY - The NIACC men's soccer team topped DCTC 2-1 Tuesday in an ICCAC contest on the NIACC campus.

NIACC received goals from Harry Holland on a penalty kick in the first half and Jack Doyle with 22 minutes, 32 seconds remaining in the contest.

Doyle's goal proved to be the game-winner as the Trojans completed the season sweep of DCTC. The Trojans nipped DCTC 2-1 in double overtime in the season opener in September in Rosemount, Minn.

NIACC (7-6 overall, 4-4 in the ICCAC) returns to action Wednesday at home in a non-league match against Hawkeye CC. Match time is 3 p.m. on the NIACC pitch.
