NIACC's Hardrict selected as ICCAC player of week
MASON CITY - NIACC freshman Quentin Hardrict was selected as the ICCAC men's basketball player of the week for the week of Dec. 3-9.
Hardrict, who is from Minneapolis, scored a career-high 29 points in NIACC's 104-81 victory over No. 2 Southwestern in Saturday's ICCAC opener. He also had seven assists and four rebounds against the Spartans.
Hardrict also scored 13 points with five assists and three rebounds in the Trojans' 108-70 win over the Luther College Junior Varsity on Dec. 4.
Hardrict averages 14.4 points per game (2nd on team) with 44 assists (2nd on team) and 27 steals (first on team).
It is the second straight week that a NIACC men's player has earned the league's player of the week honor. The Trojans' Wendell Matthews was honored for the week of Nov. 26-Dec. 2.
NIACC (9-2 overall, 1-0 in ICCAC) returns to action Jan. 9 at home against Iowa Central.
