IOWA FALLS - The NIACC baseball team swept Ellsworth in an ICCAC doubleheader on Friday.
NIACC won the first game 5-2 as Michael Oh gained the complete-game victory. The Trojans hit five home runs in the second game and won 11-9.
NIACC's Fox Leum hit solo home runs in the first inning of both contests. Leum now leads NJCAA Division II with 21 home runs.
Leum also collected his 100th career hit on Friday becoming the 25th member of NIACC's 100-hit club.
Leum's 21 home runs ranks third on the school's all-time single-season list behind Robbie Glendinning, who hit 25 in 2016, and Malique Ziegler, who hit 22 in 2016.
Leum moved into second place on the school's career home run list with 30. He passed Austin LaDoux, who hit 29 in 2015-16. Glendinning is the career leader with 33.
NIACC ranks seconc in NJCAA Division II with 76 home runs. Western Oklahoma State leads the nation with 96 home runs.
In Friday's first game, Oh (5-2) allowed two runs on five hits. He struck out five and did not walk a batter.
The Trojans' Shane Kelleher homered in the opener.
In the second game, the Trojans received home runs from Ben Fitzgerald, Leum, Will Sturek, Carson Parker and Ross Cochran.
Jarod Large (3-1) gained the win on the mound for the Trojans. He allowed six runs on eight hits in five innings of work. He struck out eight and walked two.
NIACC (28-24 overall, 13-13 in the ICCAC) wraps up its four-game series against Ellsworth on Saturday in Mason City. The first game is slated to start at 2 p.m. at Roosevelt Field.
