NIACC, Iowa Lakes split series, 2-2

ESTHERVILLE - For the second straight day, the NIACC baseball team split an ICCAC doubleheader with Iowa Lakes on Saturday.

NIACC won the opener 2-1 behind a complete-game pitching performance from Patrick Pridgen. Iowa Lakes won the second game 3-2.

In the first game, Pridgen scattered seven hits and only allowed a single run in the second inning. Pridgen struck out three and did not walk a batter.

NIACC tied the contest at 1-1 in the third inning and broke the tie with a single run in the top of the seventh inning.

In the second game, Iowa Lakes scored two runs in the third inning and one run in the sixth frame. NIACC pushed across single runs in the seventh and ninth innings.
